Custom pricing

Care priced to your
loved one's actual needs.

One size does not fit all. We assess your situation and provide transparent, custom pricing, so you don't overpay for care you don't need, or underpay for care that matters.

Our pricing philosophy

Fair pricing for exceptional care.

Most care services either charge a flat rate, meaning you overpay when your loved one needs less, or they upsell from a low base, adding fees you didn't anticipate.

ByHearth works differently. We assess your loved one's specific needs and care complexity, then provide a custom quote that reflects exactly what's required, nothing more, nothing less.

The result: you pay a fair price for real quality. Not a commodity price for assembly-line care. Not a luxury price for things you don't need.

No overpaying for services you don't needSomeone who needs light companionship shouldn't pay the same as someone with complex dementia care requirements.
No cutting corners on the care that mattersPricing based on needs also means we never place an under-qualified caregiver because a family chose the lowest tier.
No surprise invoices or hidden feesYour custom quote is all-inclusive. Every service described is covered. We don't add charges after placement begins.
Pricing that adjusts as needs changeIf your loved one's care needs increase or decrease, we adjust the placement accordingly, so the price always reflects reality.
Care levels

How we price care

What goes into your custom quote.

Our care coordinators consider six factors when building your quote, each one ensures the price truly reflects what your loved one needs.

Medical complexity

Conditions like dementia, Parkinson's, or post-stroke require specialist experience. More complex conditions require more skilled caregivers, which affects placement cost.

Level of personal care

Light assistance differs from full daily personal care. We assess how much hands-on physical support your loved one needs across grooming, mobility, and daily routines.

Hours & schedule

Standard live-in care is full-time, but some families need additional night support or specific scheduling requirements that affect overall cost.

Location

Care costs vary by state and region based on local market conditions, caregiver availability, and cost of living in the area. We'll confirm availability in your area.

Caregiver match requirements

Specific language needs, specialist certifications, or highly specific compatibility factors, such as matching a bilingual caregiver, may affect caregiver availability and cost.

Duration & commitment

Longer-term commitments allow us to invest more in a stable, well-matched placement. Short-term or emergency placements may carry a different rate structure.

How ByHearth compares

ByHearth Live-In Care

Custom quote, truly matched to your needs

Personalised per month, based on your assessment

Priced to your loved one's actual care requirements. Not a flat rate, not a facility's one-size-fits-all fee. One-on-one, fully personalised, at home.

Nursing Home

Shared care in a residential facility

$8,000-$12,000 per month on average

Rotating staff, shared rooms, institutional schedules. Often the most expensive option, without the personalisation families expect for that price.

Memory Care Facility

Specialist dementia & Alzheimer's facility

$5,500-$9,000 per month on average

Specialist environment for cognitive conditions. Still a facility setting with rotating staff. Your loved one leaves their home and familiar surroundings.

Assisted Living

Community-based residential care

$4,500-$9,000+ per month on average

Base rate looks affordable, but personal care, medication management, and activity fees are typically charged separately. Total cost often rivals nursing home pricing.

Hourly Home Care Agency

Part-time hourly home caregivers

$25-$40/hr = $6,000-$9,000+/mo for 8+ hrs/day

For 8+ hours of daily coverage, costs rival live-in care, but with rotating caregivers, no overnight presence, and gaps in coverage during transitions.

24/7 Private Nursing

Round-the-clock registered nursing care

$15,000-$25,000+ per month on average

Clinical-level skilled nursing at home. The highest-cost option, appropriate for medically complex cases requiring licensed nurses, not daily living support.

The ByHearth position: We sit between hourly agencies and private nursing, offering the consistency and depth of live-in care, at a price that reflects your loved one's actual needs. For most families, this is significantly better value than a nursing facility and incomparably more personalised. Get your custom quote ?

Payment options

How families typically pay.

We'll walk through your options honestly on the free assessment call.

Private pay

Most families pay from personal savings, retirement funds, or shared family contributions. When compared to facility alternatives, live-in home care often represents significant savings, especially when comfort and quality of life are factored in.

Long-term care insurance

Many LTC insurance policies cover live-in home care, sometimes covering all or a significant portion of the cost. We recommend reviewing your policy carefully. We can help guide you through the claim process during your free call.

VA benefits & other programmes

Veterans may be eligible for in-home care support through the VA. Several state-specific Medicaid waiver programmes also exist. We'll help you identify what may apply to your situation before any commitment is made.

Pricing questions

Frequently asked about cost.

Because care needs vary enormously. A senior who needs light companionship has very different requirements, and a very different fair price, than someone with advanced dementia requiring an experienced specialist caregiver. Publishing one flat rate would mean overcharging some families and undercharging for others, which isn't fair to anyone. We assess first, then price honestly.
Start with a free assessment call. You can book one below or call us at (470) 289-6667. Our care coordinator will learn about your loved one's situation, needs, and preferences. Based on that conversation, we'll provide a clear, all-inclusive custom quote. The call is free and there's no obligation.
Your custom quote covers everything: the caregiver, the care coordinator, the weekly family updates, the emergency backup coverage, and the ongoing placement management. There are no add-on services charged separately. The caregiver's private room and meals are provided by the household. This is standard and not deducted from the quoted rate.
Care needs evolve. We expect this and build for it. If your loved one's condition improves or declines significantly, we reassess the placement and adjust the care level and price accordingly. Your coordinator will flag any changes proactively, so you're never surprised.
A minimum two-week commitment is required to begin services. This allows enough time for a proper transition and for your loved one to settle in with their caregiver. After the initial period, you can cancel with 14 days written notice. We don't lock families into long-term contracts.
For most families, ByHearth is comparable to or less expensive than a nursing home, and that's before accounting for the enormous quality-of-life difference of staying at home. Nursing homes average $8,000-$12,000/month for shared-room, rotating-staff care. ByHearth provides one-on-one, home-based care priced to your specific needs. For many families, the decision is as much financial as it is emotional.
